Make a set of Fairy Drawers for your fairy door out of some matchboxes! Super easy to make and a fun place a fairy can keep her favourite things in.
There are many fun crafts a child can make to decorate their fairy door and these cute miniature Fairy Drawers made from matchboxes are inexpensive and easy for little fingers to make.
Colour coordinate them with the colour of their fairy door to create a pretty themed look.
You will need:
- 3 empty matchboxes
- Pretty paper
- Tape measure
- 3 beads or small buttons
What to do:
Glue the matchboxes on top of each other, making sure the edges line up.
Using the tape measure, measure around the outside of the matchboxes and then cut a length of the pretty paper the same size. Then glue this paper around the matchboxes, to cover them.
Lastly, glue 1 bead or small button onto the front of each drawer. These are the little handles.
Your child can decorate their Fairy Drawers anyway they like, by gluing lace, glitter, beads, stickers, flowers and rhinestones on them. They could also glue some beads underneath to stand on little legs.
Then stand their new Fairy Drawers beside their Fairy Door. Your child could make matching sets of drawers to stand each side of their fairy door
Then each time their fairy friend visits and leaves a small treat, your child can keep these little treasures inside their fairy drawers.
